Senior Product Manager - Technical
DESCRIPTION
EU Expansions technology team is looking for a talented individual to join us as Senior Product Manager (Technical), and connect with customers to help own and drive product strategy for an exciting new country expansions initiative. In this role, you will work with both internal business lines as well as external customers to invent a product and framework to enhance and expedite Amazon's expansions worldwide. You will be responsible for creating the technical product roadmap, define product features and work closely with the development teams to incorporate those features into the product. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of technical teams and accelerate Amazon's growth.

You will be responsible for:
· Defining the roadmap and lifecycle of country expansion framework and identifying technology products and features (customer experience, vision, strategy).
· Influencing technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions, working directly with engineering managers and principal engineers.
· Identifying new opportunities and potential customers that align with product and strategic growth of the company.
· Driving product discussions, commissioning market research, usability studies and focus groups.
· Developing product plans with clear measurable success criteria, using mechanisms and metrics (KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness).
· Evangelism, branding and marketing of the product.
Successful applicants will have experience defining products, leading cross-functional teams, and communicating to a large number of stakeholders. You'll also need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the company, both in writing and in meetings.

Day to Day:
· Collaborate with internal Amazon businesses around the globe to define solutions for expediting and optimizing worldwide expansions.
· Work backwards from the customers and internal clients to build, develop and manage the product road-map for your services and features
· Collaborate with, Sr. Engineers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to bring new innovations to the platform
· Define, track and analyze metrics related to overall performance, client metrics, operational metrics and service adoption.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
· 5+ years experience building technical products.
· Proven experience in product management of multiple initiatives with competing priority and disparate resourcing.
· Experience with working at the program level, defining and managing business requirements and outcomes with our business partners, and working with technical teams to create and integrate relevant projects into that vision.
· Several years of relevant work experience in internet-related program and/or technical product management in a software applications environment.
· Experience building and managing high performing project teams
· Experience communicating with technical and non-technical senior stakeholders across multiple business units.
· High level of comfort communicating across large organizations and diverse business units.
· Strong written communication skills: This role will require the creation of whitepapers and other written deliverables.
· Demonstrated experience delivering systems-level technical design at the systems interface level.
· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· MBA
· Experience within the software industry
· Ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
· Strong business and technical vision; candidate has shaped a complex technical program before, at the scale of Amazon's business.
· Experience with the SCRUM methodology for agile software development.
· Experience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance.
